Start Work Begins

Yesterday afternoon we pulled out sections of 10, 11 and 15's greens for sodding this morning.  After just picking up today's shipment of sod we realized that we had enough to only finish 10 and 15 (almost).  I tried to go get more but they have not harvested the sod as of yet so the finishing of 15 and starting of 11 will have to wait until first thing tomorrow morning.  We will have enough to finish 11 and maybe start work on 13, which then will leave us 12 and 13's green to work on Monday and Tuesday.  The good news is that will finish the major repairs leaving only the minor tweaks to complete.
Sod Repair Work on 15's Green
One of our well pumps in the pump station went out on this past weekend and requires major repair.  I have had the pump disconnected, and have rewritten the irrigation program to take into account its loss.  However, this means that the irrigation will run later in the morning and be reduced from its normal run times.  This will lead at first to loss of ryegrass but will not affect the bermudagrass as much or long-term.  Bids are being taken and the repair is around the corner.
Areas Prepped on 11's Green for Sod Tomorrow
12's greenside bunker program has been finished leaving only 11 to complete.  With the general maintenance keeping up to the expectations of our members, along with the greens repair it may be a couple of weeks until we finish 11's greenside bunkers.  We will finish it as soon as we can and also start and finish the DR tee expansion program.
